Augustinian Garden of Remembrance
Description
The aim of the project was to provide a garden of remembrance where people can sit and reflect on their lives or remember loved ones who passed away. Inspiration for the Garden grew out of the Augustinian community’s association with organizations such as SOSAD, the National Roads Authority and the Emergency Services through the annual Masses in memory of those who have lost their lives through tragic circumstances. The garden was originally a derelict yard at the side of the Church of St. Augustine. The works included the planting of semi-mature pleached trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants and herbs.
